A Lovely Imagination Painting

A Lovely Imagination is the result of multiple days of experimenting with layering acrylic, chalk pastels, ink, gold leaf, glitter, and more acrylic over one another as I pushed and pulled and poured the material to create a variety of marks, patterns, textures, and reflective qualities. I love the way it has developed and I find that it pulls me into its central focal point within the deep mysterious blue. It makes me feel like I am back at the Georgia aquarium under the tunnel walk way within the massive saltwater tank. I remember looking all around me and experiencing one surprise after another as I stand witness to the spectacle of countless teeming varieties of fish, sharks, and turtles. I hope that this work of art brings a sense of magic, joy, and peace to the new owner's living and working space.
