Born in Falkirk Scotland I started painting in watercolours aged 12 by the time I was 14 I discovered oils and never looked back. I,ve had numerous exhibitions of my work across Scotland. Iam a self taught artist and see myself as a Contemporary figurative painter my work in the last few years I call my visionary work is my theme called "the boy in the striped pyjamas series" usually set in dreamlike topiary gardens at midnight reflecting my love of ghost stories and studies of the human condition sometimes influenced by the Icelandic sagas and childhood memories
