My name is Leo Bos (born 1955), painter, living and working in Weerselo (NL). Painting with acrylic paint is my passion. The fun with these paintings lies in creating a composition where everything is in the right place based on my own observation and creativity. I work in an abstract style and also figurative to be broadly oriented. For a subject or theme I choose the most suitable style. Welcome to my online gallery! In my abstract landscapes and flower landscapes I have reduced the shapes and colors so much that the subject is barely recognizable. The painting leaves room for interpretation, but always retains a certain connection with reality. My reason for using this abstract style is to allow the artwork to capture the viewer's imagination over and over again. For the paintings from the Street Life series I often choose the figurative style so that a more accessible piece of art is created. I respond to current events with the theme of street scenes and people. For me it is about depicting a striking moment in everyday life on the street.
