A World Of Possibilities/Sold/ Painting

Hello, Sidney here, I paint large abstract pieces. I dwell on a moment in time, a passing feeling, an atmosphere and translate it into something tangible on the canvas. I consider the viewer's needs, how will their eye move around the canvas. I am confident using a bold colour palette, life can be a grey affair at times, why not add a little colour? One of my desires is to create work that can be gazed upon peacefully. I paint on gallery quality hand made stretched canvasses. The size and depth of my paintings does vary, but I do tend to paint on large canvasses. Typically I glaze oil over acrylic to give a vibrant depth to the colour. Some of my other experiments include unusual mediums, gold leaf, salt, alchohol, tar and coffee grounds. In most paintings I try to include some sculptural elements, impasto areas and rough textural effects to add visual interest when viewing the work.
