Anthony Gerald Larribas was born into a military family, (His father was an Air Force Paratrooper and P.O.W War Hero in WWII Ray Larribas). Gerald was born on an Air-force base in New Mexico, Having the opportunity with his family to travel and live in many parts of the world such as: Madrid Spain, Morocco, and several US states , had greatly influenced and inspired his work. Gerald was raised by his Mother who loved fashion and two older sisters this gave way to developing another side to Gerald as a fashion desinger and the love of music that his sister turn-him onto! By the age of three He creating, by drawing and singing songs dancing in front of small audiences in the exotic places he lived. His artistic training began as early as elementary school as the Nuns in his school took attention to his talents,and pushed his Artisitic ablility. Though there was little money to spend on art schools that the other students received, to help them technically he managed to create and invent images other could not. He continued throughout high school and college to invent and design and to this day still has shows with his teachers. While at the University of New Mexico, he worked closely with prominent art and music professors where His talents were recognized and encouraged, thus becoming the catapult to his career in fine arts and music. He continued his studies in marketing, print making, print advertising and graphic communications, which further launched his ambitious endeavors and artistic vision. His business experience journey and travles began yet another world to produce over four galleries that he owned and operated in Santa Fe, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, becoming the proud designer and nationally acclaimed artist as his famous Desperado Imagery, brought him to design the best country entertainment centers in Florida and throughout the Southwest. They also exhibited original paintings, designer jewelry, clothing and custom leather handcrafted Contemporary & Western cowboy boots. He now resides in his home town of Albuquerque over looking the city in a gallery stylized home where he invites many to come and visit. The location overlooks the city lights tucked into the foot hills of the Sandia Mountains and is very inspirational, where most of his new works are created.
