Eba Ussher (b. 1979) is a Ghanaian based traditional artist and textile designer who formerly had her education in a private art school. Primarily her work involves the use of organic dye and water based acrylic paints on cotton fabric and on canvas. Her paintings are heavily inspired by the intricate patterns and cultural depth of Adinkra symbols, these symbols with their ancient origin and communicative power resonate deeply in her work, fueling her creative process. Her creative process involves utilizing carved wooden blocks or foam designs as stamps, a technique that allows to incorporate ancient symbols, intricate designs, geometric lines, patterns and shapes into her paintings resonate deeply in her work. Eba Ussher recently had a Group Exhibition, Art Connect Women - ZeeArt Gallery Dubai 2025. Group Exhibition, Future Stars - Holy Art Gallery, London 2024 and local group exhibitions.
