Masha Gorodilov is an artist from the Kyiv region who lives and works in Paris. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in architecture, she continued her studies for a master's degree in graphic arts with a final project in book illustration. After graduation, she spent a few years traveling and working in the applied arts. Working with various materials in fashion and accessories, as well as exploring Central Asian handicrafts through NGO projects helped shape her particular approach to painting. In her works, one can notice the combination of graphic elements and pictorial backgrounds. The main subject of the artist's research is to find a balance between abstract elements, which seem artificial and illusory, and a more realistic context, which encourages the viewer to perceive the abstract world of the painting as more natural and real. In other words, Maсha's goal in her artistic pursuit is to bring abstract forms to life and spiritualize them, which is reflected in almost all of his works.
