Veraison A study of wine and its environment, from its cultivation, through the processes so that the wine can finally be tasted. A color change occurs in the grapes, where the red varieties are colored with red and bluish pigments and the white grapes become blonde or yellow. Since 2019: "In this series of artworks we can observe the current condition of the landscape of the vineyards in Baja California, Mexico that brings us closer to a vision of the essence of Mexican wine, its cultivation and production sites, which affects the identification of its inhabitants, a reflection of historical development. How these latitudes are and how they were by means of strokes and brushstrokes Fernando Flores transports us with a parabolic vision to these places full of life and details, imprinting unique characteristics in each piece in its treatment, shape and solution. We appreciate an open spatial interpretation, an experimentation in the techniques that induce us to tonalities that go from the subtle black and white of the pencil impregnated with color details, passing through the color pencil in shades of chiaroscuro and the acrylic highlighted with graphite for reach the oil mixed with chalk. A very personal palette that permeates each composition with subtle changes that make each piece unique and at the same time marks an easy-to-recognize rhythm when the space takes on a meditative dimension that denotes his craft as a draftsman and painter. He shows us that figurative language and realism, understood in a broad sense, continue to enjoy vitality, showing buildings, hills and mountains of Valle de Guadalupe that locals and visitors from any latitude recognize. The buildings, the vineyards, rise up in the middle of his paintings like milestones, gaining unusual strength. It evokes its smells, flavors, the characteristic light of Baja California."
