Rogers-Akamike Akachukwubuikem is a male contemporary artist.He holds a bachelor degree in Fine and Industrial Arts from the university of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria.
Rogers-Akamike's paintings are mainly portraitures andfigurative. He is interested in depicting the human forms and curvatures and sometimes exaggerating them to show emotions or feelings, in a way that tells stories of our day to day activities, experiences encounters, achievements, shortcomings,He uses thin and thick layers of paint to create illusions of people’s emotions, through their facial expressions and body gestures. His preferred mediums of expression are oil on canvas and charcoal on paper.
His source of inspiration comes from
his experiences and experiences of people close to him, his shortcomings and difficulty he has faced are what motivates him to do more and be better , furthermore the works of William burgerou, Cesar Santos to mention but a few are his inspirations.
