ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Often times when I am creating a work, a circle or large "dot" will appear in the image. There's something so universal and primal about the shape that it just seems to pop into existence effortlessly. Recently when this occurred I thought "why not devote a series of works to the humble dot?" In these works, the dot is the common denominator, but you'll also find other simple shapes and lines interacting with each other in fun ways. I encourage you to examine not just the objects, but the space in between as well. Enjoy the Adventures of Dot. The materials used are acrylic paint and charcoal. The work is made on bright white 98-lb. acid-free paper. There is a 1-inch border around the image to allow for framing. The front of the painting is signed. The back of the painting is dated and titled. A certificate of authenticity is included. This item is offered unframed, but framing is available - message me for details.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I create abstract art with a focus on gestural abstraction, mark-making, geometry, and color. My work begins with rudimentary shapes or forms. As I explore their properties they often mutate and interact in unexpected ways. Additionally, I find that certain colors seem to resonate with each other. I find it valuable to view multiple finished works together, either actively or unconsciously. Sometimes, just seeing multiple works near each other through my peripheral vision will inspire one or more new works. In this way my discoveries continually compound and combine to yield new ones. I want to create things people haven't seen before. In doing this I hope to remind the viewer what it feels like to experience a particular color, smell, or other sensation for the first time. I hope to build a visual world which is strange, playful, intriguing and enduring. I am based in Cleveland, Ohio.
