ABOUT THE ARTWORK
While camping with my fiancée I propped up an easel on the banks of a farm dam and began to paint the valley scene. It was a hot day, about 35 degrees Celsius but I kept painting till it was finished. When looking at this painting I hope the viewers feel the sun's warmth and the simplicity of the summer scene.

His medium is acrylic on canvas or charcoal on paper and his work is a unique combination of Expressionism and Impressionism. His inspiration is in the unique and ever changing Swartland landscape and in challenging himself with creating still life arrangements that are anything but still.
