Inspired by the burleque & erotic dancers in Londons West End & Soho on a particularly hot May night ... With smoking barred in the clubs , a couple of the girls who danced and entertained the tourists and partying visitors in this part of the famous capital city nightlife , sat on a wall wearing nothing except their black hats , smoking , their cigarrettes in holders... The steam from the restaurants kitchens and the thick humid air had a silver quality under the full moon hung over the sweltering City .... The work is on unstretched canvas .
