Lindsay Higa was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Growing up in the city, her family retreated to nature every chance they could. Some of her favorite memories from childhood were those weekends she and her family would explore the state parks, rivers, and lakes of the Midwest. That love of nature is evident in her work today. She is continually inspired by the growth and movement found both in nature and the human form. Lindsay continues to reside in St. Louis, where she works predominantly with acrylic paint in layers in her home studio. Her subject matter consists mostly of abstract and expressive flora, landscapes, and figures.
