About The Artwork
I love the experimental process and trying new things. I don't always know what the outcome will be when I begin the process. This piece begins with collage base made of paper, and pictures from magazines and books and applied to canvas. It is then sanded and scrapped to give the piece texture and the distress marks in preparation for the next stage. Acrylic paint is applied and scrapped in six layers using various colors. It is then finished with an oil based pastel that gives the piece its cohesiveness. It is then finished with a semi-glass polymer to seal the work. It is wired and ready to be shipped and hang on your wall.
