Anime sospese (suspended souls) Painting

Painted in acrylic on a material basis, the work is part of the "Metropoli" series. The abstract background, dragged and scratched in the colors of white, gray and beige, represents the past that each person has in his own memory and who shaped it in order to arrive today. The metropolis, in this case New York, is the background of the work and at the same time is an integral part of it. The perspective is central and on it I have highlighted three focal points that converge with the summits of an isosceles triangle with the vertex relative to the height turned downwards. These three "magnifying glasses" dictate the colors of the work, from brown, to blue, to black. In turn they blur towards the center alternating with the opposite until they reach completely fading the central point of the perspective highlighted by the red cross that is at the center of a network that encloses as in a box the whole street, the city, the country, the life itself of all humanity. Evanescent figures of women enclosed in their world are depicted with naked bodies gathered up to hide their face, expression of the essence, flow, are not stale. Others come and others have already passed. Souls suspended between reality and the imaginary, between duty and a dream of escape or fulfillment, between this and the other world, between indifference and essence. It expresses a concept of emotional loneliness, feeling somehow misunderstood, isolated among others, the difficulty of expressing oneself, of realizing oneself to achieve happiness. It was my feeling, the fact of not being able to feel myself realized while a voice louder than me was screaming inside: art. The art that I can not contain, that belongs to me from birth, that urges and urges to be expressed and made known to the whole world. As P. Picasso claimed "Art shakes the dust accumulated in everyday life from the soul".
