About The Artwork
A beautiful and mystery grey and blue night, like in dreams, painted with mixed media on paper. I love the unusual size and it is always interesting for me to work with that format. This painting is connected to both my "Moon" and "In My Dreams"-Series. Many layers of colors plus some silver pigments that add some sparkle to the grey. 50x20x0,3 cm on paper seen in the matte, framed example is 70x40x2 cm, the pure sheet as it comes is 30x60x0,1 cm. The painting itself comes as a sheet of paper, signed on the back, with certificate of authenticity. If you want it signed on the front, just ask. If you want advice on the framing that´s no problem, just ask. I will help you ordering this kind of frame in a different color or material. Please note that colors may vary slightly on different monitors. Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
