Apocalypse of Tomorrow - Enterprise NCC-1701 The inspiration for the painting came from a desire to perpetuate a history called Entreprise. This image is the culmination of human ingenuity and intelligence, but also of its recklessness and arrogance. Representing the Apocalypse of the future, the human race will undoubtedly advance in a scientific and technological sense, but there is a visible doubt that it will destroy that future as well as some of the advances so far, remember Concord, Space Shuttle, Tesla's achievements. USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) is a starship in the Star Trek media franchise. It is the main setting of the original Star Trek television series (1966–1969) and several Star Trek films. The starship Enterprise had a significant cultural impact, and the original ship model was a "living cultural object" which in 1976 led to the first space shuttle being named Enterprise and in 2009 Virgin Galactic named its first commercial spacecraft VSS Enterprise in honor of the Star Trek vessel. This continued the history of the name Enterprise as a symbol of the progress of the human race.
