Apollo and Daphne Painting

I am endlessly inspired by the ancient walls of Europe, the stories they tell and the layers of history that they display. My paintings, like the walls, through markings and faded colors, create a sense of comfort and meaning that the surroundings of the past deliver to the soul. The story of Apollo and Daphne in Greek Mythology is one of my favorites. The bright colors of the flowers represent the everlasting life that Apollo has granted to the laurel tree, his bleeding love for Daphne is seen on canvas.
