ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Religion is under attack like never before, even from within. This painting was completed after seeing a documentary on the Roman catholic church and insider testimony by a former priest. I think that the symbolism and iconography of religion and the reality of it are completely different. The iconic features of all religions have a purity and belief resonating from them that is not necessarily reflected by the way religions operate themselves.
