Apparition de l'heure bleue / The Blue Hour Apparition Painting

The "Apparitions" collection is the result of a collaboration between Jungle Head, for the japanese style faces and Marlène Guichard for the aura & costumes. Softness and serenity characterize these female figures whose poetic and dreamlike presence radiates in the place where they stay. "Apparition of the blue hour" is the third creation. The blue of the dress was painted with a pure pigment "Prussian Blue" brought back from a trip to Venice in the summer of 2020. Discovered in one of the last stalls devoted to the Fine Arts of the Serenissima. Its depth and its velvety softness gave its title to this naiad of the Venetian waters. The face of the lady fairy ii drawn on Canson paper. For the dress,I used mixed media on 300g circular cotton paper (acrylic paint, Prussian Blue pigment, India ink, gilding wax). Pyrography and acrylic golden paint on cardbord for the aura. Then all the pieces formed a collage on Arches watercolor paper, dimensions 50X70cm, weight 640g/m.
