ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was first exposed in May 2019 along with four other pieces and they all work together as a series of figurative experiments on human presence in the woods. In these images I propose a reinterpretation of the human/nature relationship. The trees and the space itself is painted in a style that strongly resembles printing techniques but the figures appear in a more realistic way. Basically, I perform collage work on canvas to create new constellations for the human existence. This image depicts the moment when something unexpected happens like an apparition of a mythological animal in a dream.
