About The Artwork
Shape, form and the mathematical formula's that create them and how they manifest themselves in nature have always interested me. The Archimedian spiral in the painting is different in shape from the spirals of the shells but the principal in there creation is very similar. The frame for the shells and painting is created from found pallet wood. All the imperfections were filled and it has a wax finish. If you like a machine perfect finish on your framing this piece may not be for you, but this a piece I am very fond of.
