2022 / Acrylic and pigments on Polytab*. The piece will ship Unstretched. The colorful art shows a Boston Terrier dog visiting an art festival, and wearing sun glasses, holding a painting, a sculpture & camera in a sunny day This painting was created as part of the public art project 'Mural Cubes' curated by the Omaha Summer Arts Festival in 2022. The piece was originally 96 x 96 inches but I trimmed the borders to allow the main image to have more balance and a better layout. The piece is now 80 x 65 inches. It is suitable for framing, or directly mounting on a wall like a mural or wallpaper; either inside or outside. Excellent piece for public art as well. The Process and details: Two pieces of polytab were joined together to obtain the size of the piece. You can see the union in the detail photos. Also, due to the nature of the material there are some creases that are part of the painting and add to the character of the piece, as well as its history (see detail photos). *Regarding the Material: Polytab is a non-woven fabric that is lighter than traditional canvas and can take on the form of the surface it is being applied to. It can be worked on adhered to a wall using acrylic gel, and can be used for interior and exterior applications.
