Tika inspired this painting. I was having a hard time painting anything at all, feeling really depressed, on vacation, and beating myself up for not doing much of anything! Tika invited me to work in her painting and sculpture studio every day. It really changed my world. Thank you, Tika! When you look out at the garden from inside the painting studio, everything out there is bright and happy. It's an oil painting. I like studio space as a subjectand have done several paintings of real and imaginary studios. The style is - what would you say? I hadn't done many landscapes, so it's definitely an adaptation. (Now, I have done lots of them. I call it expressionism because the emotional element is strong.)
