This piece consists of 2- 24" x 24" canvases. This pieces was inspired by the sensory experiences in nature. My techniques are a tension of trying to control the nature of pigments and letting go to that which cannot be controlled.

Julia Stanger resides in Dallas but developed her sense of color and pattern over her 15 year career as a fashion designer in NYC. Her current works are based in watercolor but she often adds dimension and texture to her pieces much like draping fabric. She draws inspiration from nature but aims to bring beauty to the world with minimal impact- attempting to use everything scrap, which often leads to new composition ideas.
