ABOUT THE ARTWORK
BLEU JOY is part of a 3 artwork series called "Outside the trauma". These 3 paintings were literally my rising phoenix from a very dark and deep depression after a break up with someone I love. They were a breaking point from my old self as an artist, wether someone else could notice or not. With this serie I was able to expand my limits further and to break free from fear. I was feeling joyful again! The final details of the paintings were done on a beautiful spring night in Alicante, in the sidewalk outside my home (just in front of the Santa Barbara's castle) in the artistic and boho neighborhood of San Antón -where I usually paint in summer nights- while listening and dancing to my favorite music and having a COLD beer. I hope you also enjoy them, they are full of beautiful energy.

Uruguayan born, with Italian and Spanish ancestry, Carla is an Interdisciplinary Contemporary Artist with a lifetime practice, started Art School at 6 years old and received her first International Art Award at the age of 13 with an abstract artwork. As well as her ancestors, she has migrated to Sydney (AUS) in 2018 and then to Barcelona, Spain in 2020 and relocated in Alicante since then. Her art is held in private collections in South and North America, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria and Australia. Solo exhibition at Alicante, Spain (2022), Collective exhibitions: London, UK (2023) & Cadiz, Spain (2023). Currently represented by Galería Bucci (Chile) and G Gallery Art (USA). My art practice allows me to experience life according to some of my top values; freedom, creativity, adventure, beauty & joy.
