Introduction By the inspiration of family members and self-dedication, Muaviath Ali becomes a renowned artist when he was just studying at secondary school. He rose into the hall of fame of Maldivian artists when he won the 1st Inter School Art Competition in 1993. Muaviath was then demanded by several local companies and government agencies to undertake their design projects. Upon completion of secondary education, he immediately joined Television Maldives, the state television. He began his career of designing at the TVM where he was assigned the important job of designing studio sets. After 13 years of design services at TVM and a flourishing track record of designing careers, Muaviath retired from the government to render his design service to a larger market. He started designing on a freelance basis. After a few months of freelancing, he established a designing company – Muart & A Design Pvt. Ltd., in association with a childhood friend. Muart & A Design is focused on large format printing, Interior designing, Graphic Designing, photography, Fine art, and Set designing. Although Muaviath's specialized fields of designing are graphic designing, fine art, interior designing, and object modeling, his artistic ideas are not limited to those areas. Muaviath's artistic talent is admired nation-widely. In recognition of his artistic talent and appreciation of artistic service to the Maldivian society, the president has awarded National Award of Recognition in 2002 in the art & design category. He has accomplished several national design projects. Some of them are the 25th Republic Day Commemoration symbol, the new Millennium commemoration symbol. Additionally, the well-known logos of Maldives Police Service, Maldives Tourism Development Cooperation, Maldives National Broadcasting Corporation, etc. In object modeling, Muaviath has designed the most prestigious awards of Maldives; the National Award of Recognition and National Award of Honor. The National Film award is also designed by Muaviath. Muaviath has received a warm reception for his designs and molds in several replications he made during the Independence Day roadshows. Muaviath's designs are appreciated internationally too. In 2010, Corel Corporation has nominated Muaviath to submit designs to the gallery of their Corel software package. He was one of few chosen finalists and his painting is currently used by Corel Corporation.
