Baked Alaska Painting

My artwork often explores the theme of isolation. The body of empty space seeks to magnify and engage the view directly, whilst the potency of barrenness remains poignant - an unknown transient world without the distraction of a fully interactive scene. These compositions illustrate a space occupied, yet remaining isolated, simultaneously being both detached and a part of something. The works highlight the sense of isolation and alienation experienced by the individual in modern society. While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project my methodology is consistent. The subject matter of each body of work determines the materials and the forms of the work.
