Tempera is a method of painting with pigments dispersed in an emulsion miscible with water, typically egg yolk. The method was used in Europe for fine painting, mainly on wood panels, from the 12th or early 13th century. Tempera is also the most durable of mediums because it is unaffected by humidity and temperature, so it does not fade over time. It has been sealed with Krylon UV archival satin varnish. No need to frame under glass.

Born in Croatia in 1958, Tony Belobrajdic is a Sydney based figurative artist. He started exhibiting in the late seventies and had his first solo show in 1983 in Croatia. Tony moved to New York in 1987 where he continued his art practice. He exhibits both in Sydney and Europe regularly. Acrylics, watercolours and oils have been the mediums of choice. Etchings is the latest medium being explored and studied with a great passion. His style could be described as contemporary impressionism, mostly portraits and figures. Tony's artwork demonstrates distinct freedom using spontaneous brushstrokes and vivid colours. He combines layered figuration of human forms put in abstract situations.
