ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Beaches are full of opportunities for painters who like to abstract from nature. the concentric curves of sand, detritus, beach, waves and water, with the sky echoing the curves in a subtle way lend themselves to the kind of painting I love to do, namely, strokes of the paint-laden palette knife onto the paper. I hope it will remind viewers of the pleasant experiences they have enjoyed at the beach.
