ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I painted this as part of a wish to see a larger collection of wild animals running free. The deer and the fox are a relatively common sight yet so captivating in their beauty and nature. I wanted to capture the momentum of their 'flight' as well as the textures and colours in their hide and fur. Painted using Sennelier ink and brush on handmade Indian rag paper, the surface is strong and natural and unbleached.

I am an artist based in Gloucestershire, UK but originally from Perthshire, Scotland. I have been fortunate to exhibit in some prestigious institutions including Royal Academy, London, RWA, Bristol and RSA, Edinburgh. I trained in Fine Art Drawing and MFA Painting and have literally been drawing my whole life. My proudest achievement is having my ink drawing 'Ghoul School' in the permanent collection of Prints and Drawings at The British Museum. I was also delighted to receive 'Finest Drawing' award at the National Open Art Competition in 2013.
