ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This painting is connected with Impressionism, which moves every minute with light. This painting was specifically influenced by the abstraction shown in "Giverny Pond Expression" later in the life of the Impressionist painter Monet. And I drew my work with the same material as Monet. It is closely related to my childhood psychological situation. The subject of this painting reminded me of my childhood landscape more beautifully as I read Marcel Proust's novel [In Search of the Lost Time, published in seven parts between 1913 and 1927 ] As I read the description of the town of Marcel, the narrator in the novel, I recalled the scenery I encountered while walking a long way from home to school as a child. The mountain ridges and rocks I encountered while walking home alone from school leave a particularly strong image.

" I make discoveries while remaining open-minded to anything that might present a new possibility in the context my work " Through contemplation of the boundaries between objects and space, there is a deep connection to the material and tactile sensations on the surface of the canvas in the context of Impressionism and Abstract Expressionism. These formal methods are existential and based on the philosophy of science.
