"Before the rain" was painted in my studio on 300 g, 100% cotton, archival quality, rough Arches paper. Only a few colors were used: cobalt blue, alizarin, burnt sienna and light oker.

This scene depicts a very quiet moment on the river Aare, just before a storm hits the beautiful city of Solothurn.
In the background, you can see the St. Ursus Cathedral.

Your painting will be carefully packed, protected and shipped in an eco-friendly cardboard box. As an additional protection and bonus, painting will be ready to hang: it comes framed in a simple, but nice fibreboard frame, passepartout included as well.

Milos Petkovic (born 1961 in Zemun, Serbia) is fascinated by light and atmosphere which is the driving force for him to paint. He specialized in watercolors, loving the sense of freedom and spontaneity that this medium can offer. Watercolors are not meant to be controlled, but to let flow. That is why Petkovic just guides its course to create what he feels is artistically beautiful. He mainly paints in a semi-realistic, impressionist style, using both transparent and opaque watercolors that highlight the play of lights and shades, usually finishing the painting with spontaneous, bold, and dry brushstrokes. Petkovic finds beauty in the commonplaces – streets, public transport, pubs, flashes of light on a wet asphalt…and tries to make them to tell a simple everyday life story. After Serbia and New Zealand, he currently lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland.
