ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The subject of this painting was inspired by the flowers at that I saw when walking by the shop on Bernard Street in Montreal, in 2016. It was in the summer of that year and when I could, I would go out and walk down streets to find subjects for my painting.. When I saw the shop, I was so surprised to see hundreds if wooden bird cages hanging from the third floor of the building over to the edge of the floor shop.The owner was Chinese, and she loved hanging them, that way to charm her clients to buy charmed me for sure and I decided to do a painting. I took pictures and also studied the area also. I want the viewer to feel the joy that I painted in the flowers. Not just the subject matter but also the brush strokes depicting strength yet love of the spontanity of the moment.I am an expressionist and I do it well in painting this medium.

I was born in, Tunis Tunisia. My mother Italian my father Polish.I started painting in my early teens. When I felt creative I would paint and it gave me direction. I started with Acrylic and pencil.At the beginning I was interested in painting the city of Montreal especially the Old Town. Then my first mentor gave me the confidence to push my art to another level and try nonfigurative painting. I think all my life I have had the capacity to go from figurative to nonfigurative easily. Depending on how I feel.I have had mentors to guide me in my style of painting for the last 3 decades. The founder and curator of the Museum of Contemporary art in Montreal. My Spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy that gave me confidence on my road as an artist.
