With a mixture of realism and fantasy, ambivalent emotions are depicted, as well as the taste of bitter and sweet elements. The painting is dedicated to the extraordinary year 2020. The Corona pandemic and the measures taken to contain it have led to a variety of effects and consequences. They were largely bitter, but also sweet. The orange combines both bitter substances in its white skin and sweet elements in its flesh. While the bitter substances are said to have health-promoting properties, the flesh is used in desserts, among other things. desserts. The work "Orange" shows this in the form of a slice of orange cake decorated with an orange slice on which two butterflies (swallowtails) are refreshing themselves.

Germany
I am born in Neuenbürg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. From an early age, I loved painting and drawing as a means to represent my own fantasies, desires, and dreams. I decided against the initially plan to study art because its contents did not meet my expectations and instead opted for a science degree. However, my passion for art was always present. I taught myself by training through books, museums visits, exchanges with other artists, and personal experience. The content of my images is determined by the artist’s fantasies, perceptions, life, and love for animals and nature. For me, visual arts means an expression that starts where words are not enough and the camera can’t see anything. I want to make this visible through a realistic manner of painting. My genre is surrealism and fantastic realism and preferred media are oil paints and graphite. Artists who inspired me: Salvador Dali, Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington and others. Award: Grand Salon 2017 / Villa Berberich- 1st prize in the category Surrealism- Bad Säckingen, Germany
