This painting invites you to a world between reality and illusion. Two figures, in a domino pattern, sit in a space where light and shadow, modernity and memories collide. Oksana came to art in adulthood - when, it would seem, everything had long been determined. But one day a quiet, and then increasingly loud desire to paint appeared - just like that, without a goal, out of an inner need. In order to learn to see and feel more deeply, at the age of 52 she graduated from art school In March 2022, her first personal exhibition was supposed to open in her hometown in Ukraine. It did not open... Due to the war, Oksana and her family moved to Romania, where she opened an art studio for children and adults. And soon her first personal exhibition opened at the National Ethnographic Museum of Romania, where more than 60 paintings were exhibited. Oksana paints in different techniques, seeks herself in new genres, is inspired by nature, cities, people, Ukrainian traditions and what touches the soul. Oksana's paintings live in private collections in Ukraine and abroad, in museums and even in botanical gardens and embassies. But the greatest happiness for her is knowing that her work finds someone who saw a piece of themselves in it. She is always curious: why does a fan choose this particular painting, what attracts a person and why is her work chosen among other artists and paintings? She dreams that her art gives joy, warm emotions and reminds of simple things for which it is worth being grateful. And above all, she wants a just peace.
