Honoring the Black Madonna, also known as Erzulie Dantor in Haiti, the protective Virgin. I used mixed media for this piece: acrylic and oil pastel for the background with markers, then spray painted the icon with a 5 layers hand made stencil and applied a 1st layer of resin. I added more graphics and designs as well as some crafting elements before pouring a second and final layer of resin.
