I'm an Asian American Artist. The women in my family have been a pillar for resilience and positivity through the years in my life. I think, their stories, helped pushed boundaries in asian society at the time. It also shaped some of the perspectives I have in my later life, becoming a mother, raising a daughter, finding meaning in the art that I make. Now it is even more imperative to evolve this background into the current art energy. The work comes from harmonizing eastern and western cultural references parallel with nature, life and muses. The style of repetitive pattern comes from a meditative intention that seems to consistently show up. I'm not sure how to communicate in words "the why" behind that. Though it is silent connection that leads to awareness and synchronicities in my day to day life.
