About The Artwork
I am inspired by the idea of 'Looking Through' and I am at present painting a series on this theme. The archways in this painting are in Dubrovnik and the sense of space and light inspired me to paint this particular view which is actually featured as a back drop in Game of Thrones. I have altered the colours away from reality and have used a limited palette of just blue and orange shades. The painting has a slightly textural surface and is varnished to bring out the colour.
