About The Artwork
Teenage years...unaware, stretched out on an unmade bed deeply engrossed in his phone, playing music. The perspective of the painting places focus on the feet which, at this age are the first to grow, almost out of proportion with the rest of the body. Blue is the prominent colour. The bed could be the sea and the child could be floating lost to his thoughts. Yellow and white colours, symbolise youth and innocence. The artwork combines charcoal sketch lines and a combination of brush and knife strokes. The painting wraps around the sides of the canvas and hence is complete without requiring framing. It comes ready to hang.
