ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Begged a photo from a friend of mine years ago... her son in a posed snapshot that she had casually dumped amongst a thousand other photos. I loved the colour and the mood and knew I would paint it one day. I think there's a certain innocence and child-like lostness about his expression, even though he was already a grown man. There is something being resolved internally, probably without his conscious knowing, that belies the trendy persona he displays. Much like us all.
