Small square uplifting colorful abstract in professional magnetic frame (frame just an example). This piece is part of a series of new works on paper, where I tried out a combination of new mixed media and studied their effects. This is a color study, material study and can be seen as an abstract piece about sky, sea, clouds and color. I love the special mixture of watercolors and Oil Pastels in it and thought about expressions like "feeling blue". It has some silver pigmented spots, though, meaning there is always light to be found. 22x22 cm I framed 30x30 cm The painting comes without frame, please ask if you want a frame or some consulting on which frame. The painting would also look great in a much bigger frame with bigger matte, silver, black, wooden frames would look nice, too. (c) Gesa Reuter 2017, all rights reserved. Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
