ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The sky, the sea, the earth photographed from space - We are surrounded and enveloped by the color blue. A watercolor and ink painting, blurred to create a soft, flowing look. The subject matter is a dreamy landscape with people dancing in a villa overlooking the bay of Naples, Italy. This work was inspired by an antique panel painting from the 1800's. The work is a diptych and comes on two pieces of handmade Japanese paper. The paper is delicate and textured with a soft feeling. I recommend framing in a floating frame where you can see the edges.
