About The Artwork
This painting is 28" x 36" x 1.5" and has some texture. It is painted on stretched canvas.I'm inspired by mid-century design, style, fabrics and architecture. I don’t set out to depict something, narrate or illustrate a situation or scene, but rather to have an experience. An experience which is rooted in the exploratory attitude of conjecture. The surprising result is often a intuitive personal rendition of the patterns found in nature. My paintings often remind people of landscapes, underwater-scapes or the cosmos, but I think of them as abstractions.
