Blue Mandala Painting

This original mandala from Nepal uses mineral paints on cotton canvas. All the teachings of the Buddha are contained in the mantra (prayer) - Om Mani Padme Hum. It's repetition in the painting in Sanskrit, numerous times within the circle creates a vibration similar to its being chanted. Meditating with the mandala leaves the observer relaxed and he/she comes away with a resolution or clarity. It has been said, as you fall into the Mandala, you will feel lighter, and intuitive thoughts may arise. Did you know, the famed Swiss psychiatrist, Dr Carl Jung employed the mandala in his work with clients. When concentrated upon, he felt that deeper human consciousness became elevated. Imperfections may occur in this artwork as it is created by hand over many months.
