Nature and flowers are the inspiration for this work. This painting is on aluminum, reflecting the Julliette's ongoing artistic journey where she explores new ideas and materials. Julliette, a creative thinker is constantly looking at the world in different ways. Her paintings are mysterious, inviting the viewer to engage their own imaginations to explore the images. She says, “I love working on aluminum, because it enables the paint to be moved around in ways not possible on more traditional surfaces. Magic is created when intended outcomes develop into unplanned random occurrences.” This is a square oil Painting framed and ready to hang.

My goal is to create dynamic paintings with a sense of mystery to generate an emotional response from my audience. My inspiration comes from the beauty of nature. Colorful flowers and reflective patterns of light form the basis of my paintings. While flowers are my first love, I also paint abstract landscapes. I use photography, observation and memory as my source material. I don’t try to copy the scenes that inspire me. It is a starting point. My process tends to be intuitive and creative. I am very free and expressive with my brushstrokes and composition. I paint spontaneously, incorporating my knowledge of design and color. I weave nature-inspired shapes with colors I am feeling, to create my own personal vision. Since my emotions govern my creations, each piece of art I create is unique. My love of beauty and color results in a transference of positive energy to my paintings. I paint in acrylics, inks and oils on canvas, aluminum and paper. I love experimenting with new substrates. Painting on aluminum allows the paint to be moved around in ways not possible on more traditional surfaces. My works on aluminum done in ink and oil tend to be very smooth. When I want to produce textured paintings I use acrylic paint, which is especially suited to my spontaneous process. It is a quick drying medium allowing for the rapid build up of many layers and texture. I am on an artistic journey, always pushing the boundaries into unknown territories. I emphasize abstraction in my more recent works; thrilled when my intended outcomes develop into unplanned random surprises. Born in London, combined with my Persian heritage and extensive travels, I bring an international flavor to my work. This is especially reflected in my choices of bold colors. I began painting as a child, gradually developing as an artist through the years. While primarily self-taught, I have participated extensively with renowned artists at workshops in the US, Italy and France. I have also studied at SUNY, the Art Students League of New York and The Silvermine Arts Center in Connecticut. I have shown my work in numerous solo and group shows, nationally and internationally. Public and private collectors have acquired my paintings. In recent years I have been spending time painting in my studios in the French Rivera and Connecticut.
