Why am I drawing the sea? It is an absolute pleasure to draw the sea as it constantly changes remaining constant. Just how wonderful may be witnessing the change and the flow of life. I am so happy to live by the sea and be able to touch it again and again. When I look at the sea I am always amazed how different the colours are and how quickly they change. They are often not even of the same palette ranging from the dark navy or grey at one side and light turquoise, teal or even white in some other spots. The angle of view, the distance, the time of the day, the sunlight, the clouds, the wind and the tides all affect the colours of the sea and the colours represent the mood to me. I feel it and every time walking by the sea I speak with him as with an old friend asking about his thoughts or the recent news. The mood and the colours may change and do get changed often, but the cosmic energy represented by constant tides and the waves is always there. The sea has its own vibration, invisible waves and rhythm. It may sound a bit mystic but that’s how I think and feel about it. Techniques and media. I am using the best materials when creating my works as the oils and brushes are not something to save on when visualising the mystic emotions of the planet Earth. Framing. Please don’t hesitate to ask me any details about the works. Most canvases are unframed and I would be happy to help you finding the right frame matching both the work and your interior.

Painting has always been my passion. Quite often and consistently though I have been trying other creative mediums like ceramics, wool, dotting, or crafts like doll-making. As you might have noticed from the website my preferred themes are landscapes and especially sea views, still life and also abstract visualisations of surreal dreams. I use different techniques, but my most favourite ones remain oil and pastel. Acrylic, charcoal, pencil, watercolour and other materials are good friends of mine too. I am usually painting at my studio but occasionally enjoy plein air sketching and painting in countryside of Ireland. Travelling often brings new ideas and I ultimately rely on it for inspiration.
