About The Artwork
Bolero i a beautiful Spanish dance - also performed in South America. It can be danced to a piece of recorded music or to the accompagnement of a guitar and sometimes castagnettes. Often the female dancer will wear a colorful costume and have a pretty hand fan to emphasize the gestures and movements of the dance. Bolero may also remind you of the famous piece of music written by Ravel. Maybe you have attended a performance of bolero or the better known flamenco either in your own country or during a trip to Spain - it always makes an impression with its beauty and passion. The artwork is painted on the sides - ready to hang also without a frame. It has my symbol on the front and is signed on the back. The background is painted with silver acrylic paint.

I was born in Denmark, and have been drawing and painting since early youth. I have lived in Germany and France, where I had my own fashion brand. I moved to Italy in 2000 and decided to give up fashion design and devote myself full-time to painting -- a decision I have never regretted. My chief source of inspiration are the many diverse cultures I have come across during my numerous trips. I always loved beautiful textiles, but I also draw inspiration from the shapes and color combinations of the traditional arts of China, Korea and Japan, and African and Oceanic tribal art. And I should not forget to add that I just love flowers and gardens - always an inexhaustible source of inspiration. I hope that the my paintings convey to the viewer something of the visual stimulation and excitement that I feel when I have created a new work.
