Title: «Bolivian flamingos». 100 % hand-painted by Ekaterina Ostanina (Frida Ostin). The original of this painting is sold out, but if you like this painting, you can buy a print on canvas or paper. Bolivia. Lake Titicaca - the highest lake in the world and the highest navigable lake of the planet (the height of the water mirror is 3810 m above sea level). Lake Titicaca is considered the cradle of the civilization of the Incas and other peoples of the Andes. According to the mythology of the Incas, the world once experienced terrible cataclysms that caused a flood. The earth was plunged into the abyss of darkness and cold, and the human race was on the verge of extinction. Sometime after the flood, the god Viracocha came out from the depths of Lake Titicaca. Traveling around the islands, Viracochi ordered the Sun and Moon to rise and re-created the man and woman and sent them to all four sides, starting the settlement of the world. The lake remains to this day the sacred place of the Andes. At the bottom of the lake was discovered an Indian temple with a wall 800 meters long, whose age is about 1500 years. The nature of the lake is amazingly beautiful. In the picture, I painted a flamingo - a symbol of the fulfillment of desires. In many cultures, this bird was considered a divine creature. Since childhood, drawing has been my favorite pastime. I need art like air. For me, painting is a way to stop time. Silence. Real magic. Today we are oversaturated with visual information, the speed of our life has become inhuman. In the age of capitalism, consumerism, globalization, and endless noise, a person is lost in an existential search, forgetting that he is a creator. I contrast painting with an ever-running and changing world. Through my work, I try to convey my admiration for color, drawing inspiration from the diversity of nature. My paintings are always colorful and cheerful. I give my preference to the most graceful and noble materials - oil, watercolor, pastel. These materials are for me like the best sonorous orchestra, which helps me play the most beautiful symphony. Let these color paintings become a small door to the big magical world of your soul.
