ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This giant of Irish literature still underrated impressed me in my teenage years so much so that I felt dutybound to paint my own version of his likeness. It is my homage to his struggle to expose the Irish psyche in all its crazy wonder through his writing. The concept of viewers seeing my painting and discovering his works is appealing . The image progresses from dark shades to a light background like the comic tragic life of the subject.
